The Green Team

We got a chance to be in the Green Team last week. We have a green bucket and tongs to pick up any rubbish we can find. There is a Tidy Kiwi called Kevin who likes to help us too! We all had a turn and it was fun!

Room 11 has had an exciting visitor. His name is George and he has four legs and a tail. He is a gorgeous Golden retriever dog that Miss Nelson helps look after.
We learned how to be a good dog friend and to always ask the owner before we pat a dog.
George loves everybody and he has an extremely waggy tail!

Term 3!

We are excited to be back at school for the winter term. We have been learning three dances with our teachers Mark and Dean. We love the hip hop dance to Beat It by Michael Jackson. We danced in a huge circle and changed partners in PYT and Paso doble! Ms Andrew could not believe that we didn't get mixed up.

On Friday we had a crazy hair day to raise money for KidsCan. We all gave $2 to wear mufti and some silly hair! You can see our looks here:

100 Days of school!

We have been counting off the days we have at school. We are learning how much 100 really is! We are celebrating the 100th day with a mini party on the last day of school.

Room 11 has their turn for an assembly item on 30th June. We are so excited to share our 100 day crowns and sing the Big Number Song that will blow the audience away!

Room 11's Assembly Show

This week we had a visit from Science in a Van. They showed us mixtures and amazing giant bubbles. There were heavy bubbles too!

Room 11 is learning all about kites. We started by making a fish kite. We coloured the fish and cut it out. Then we added streamers for the tail and ribbon to fly it with.

                                                                        Ooops!

                              We went to the top of the hill and ran as fast as the wind!
                                                We love our fish kites!

Gala Day is nearly here!!

We are so excited to come to the Gala Day. Room 11 loves the waterslide and all the games we can play. We have created a super canvas artwork called Early Birds. We named it this because
every day whoever is showing good manners and whoever is being a good friend is chosen to be an early bird. They get to go out just a little bit early at morning tea and lunch. Our painting has all our names on and we are all early birds.

Our parents can buy ur beautiful painting at the Gala but they have to bid for it.

Room 11 have been thinking about what good learners do.
We know they listen and think about what they are hearing.
Good learners ask questions and try new things even if they are tricky!
We know to keep trying and not give up!


We are learning all the sounds of letters and lots of spelling patterns too.
